In this second part of the webinar, we will demonstrate another way to design our steel hall: based on results from second-order analysis with initial imperfections. Important settings and aspects of the design will be discussed. The results from the two approaches will be compared in terms of material usage and difficulty in the workflows. Then, deflections will be evaluated using the serviceability check functionality; related workflows and settings will be explained.
Hamza Bachiri
Hamza Bachiri started after his graduation as a structural engineer at a general contractor (Edibo) where he used SCIA Engineer for his daily calculations. Afterwards in 2014, he got the opportunity to start working at SCIA as a Customer Service Engineer. He was giving trainings and helped SCIA clients with their projects. In 2017, he moved to the Development Department and became a Product Development Engineer for SCIA Engineer. He is currently responsible for new development related to steel, timber and aluminium design. He also provides 2nd line support to SCIA clients.
